This Kent home renovation features a set of striking black internal heritage doors, which we’ve manufactured for our premium Partner in Kent, FGC Bespoke Aluminium and one of our long-standing Approved Installers. Positioned between living spaces, the internal doors transform both the layout and the atmosphere of the home, combining contemporary elegance with a subtle industrial aesthetic. These are not standard off-the-shelf internal doors. Double black internal heritage doors in rainham, kent
Designed to replace an old timber partition between the entrance and living room, the new internal doors are manufactured in premium-grade aluminium, finished in a deep matt black RAL 9005. Slim profiles, Aluco’s exclusive 20mm glazing bars and the signature Floating Lock™ detail provide a true steel-inspired look, while retaining a more refined presence suited to interiors.
The door configuration includes a central French door set with side panels on each side—forming a fully glazed wall between spaces while maintaining acoustic separation. Glazing runs full height across the screen, and the ultra-slim glazing bars enhance the sense of height and proportion.
Matching hardware includes discreet hinges, black ironmongery, and the ultra-slim Aluco handles—chosen for their simplicity and tactile feel. Throughout this door set is our quality manufacturing using our floating lock internal door product with 20mm glazing bars in three horizontal and one vertical for each door, beautifully dividing it into 8 panels. The side panels also feature three 20mm horizontal bars with a further three in the top panel.
The Aluco Attention to detail
Demonstrating our meticulous attention to detail, with the closed door set all our sightlines are balanced and symmetrical . Every glazing bar liines through perfectly, with consistent sightlines at the door posts where they meet the glazed panel above.
For this particular door set, the customer wanted a slightly lower set handle with the steel-inspired handle backplate and provided with a brass curved handle. The entire door set is glazed with safety glass thorughouyt.
